Paul Heathcote opened his first restaurant in Longridge, near Preston, at the age of 29. From the beginning, our philosophy has centred around simple quality food cooked using only the best fresh locally sourced produce. Our restaurants have been awarded Michelin stars, AA rosettes, Catey Awards and even the coveted Egon Ronay Chef of the Year. Along the way Paul has written two books and was awarded an MBE for services to hospitality in 2009.
Heathcotes Brasserie
Paul’s brasserie on Winckley Square has been consistently one of the best restaurants in Preston throughout its almost 20 year history. With elegance and quality, a relaxed, casual atmosphere and a wonderful gourmet menu filled with a range of Heathcote classics and modern British and French dishes, Heathcotes Brasserie is a restaurant that’s perfect for a special meal, celebrating with friends or even a quick business lunch.
Heathcotes Brasserie is home to some of Paul’s most famous creations, including signature bread & butter pudding, our freshly made black pudding and Reg Johnson’s Goosnargh chicken.

The Olive Press Preston
Another of Paul’s Preston restaurants, The Olive Press Preston offers authentic Italian pizza, pasta and grills, all embodied with the Heathcotes philosophy: our pizza dough is created from scratch, our pasta is fresh, our grills come from local quality producers. Sometimes simplicity just has to be the key.
The Olive Press Preston offers low key ambience in a rustic setting on Winckley Square. We can cater for large parties and events, and also offer a dedicated children’s menu. Just a stone’s throw from the high street, the restaurant is perfect for taking a break from shopping, catching up with friends or making an occasion that extra bit special.
